Doctors Paola Hernández and Germán Carreto addressed the topic of naprotechnology and the Creighton Model System.
On May 3, the first session of GINE-BINCA 2023 was held, organized by our Anáhuac Center for Strategic Development in Bioethics (CADEBI), a virtual space in which doctors Paola Hernández Paniagua (Master's in Clinical Nutrition, gen. During their presentation, the experts explained the benefits and obstacles of implementing this modern family planning model and its possible future courses of action. They emphasized the importance of understanding one's body, providing individualized and ethical medical care, and the importance of partner participation in decision-making.
Dr. Germán Carreto is a surgeon by profession, general director and founding partner of the Pregnafem Clinic (Center for Female and Perinatal Diagnosis), and a researcher in several areas of bioethics, including prenatal diagnosis, palliative care, early life neuroethics, and assisted reproduction techniques.
Dr. Paola Hernández is a clinical nutritionist who earned a Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery, a Diploma in Eating Disorders from Anáhuac University in Mexico, and is certified in the Pronokal method.
At the end of the session, attendees shared their concerns about this topic, as well as their opinions on this new bioethical proposal.
