The III Research Colloquium of the Faculty of Bioethics

The objective of this academic space, which takes place twice a year, is to show the research work of our students, teachers and researchers.

On June 10, the III Research Colloquium of the Faculty of Bioethics was held, which aimed to show the research work of our students, teachers and researchers, in addition to critically discussing them.

This event began with the keynote speech by Dr. Karina Ordóñez Torres, a member of the Institute of Bioethics of the Finis Terrae University, Santiago Chile. She shared the topic "Retraction of scientific articles in indexed journals: causes and reasons" where she explained in detail the causes that authors of the articles may incur, moderate to serious ethical offenses that lead to their detection by editors of scientific journals and, consequently, to the retraction of the published articles.

Subsequently, the works of doctoral students and some researchers were presented. Among the topics presented was the approach to pain from the different currents in bioethics, the perception of palliative care among patients, the figure of the bioethicist in the federal public administration, consulting services in bioethics, integral ecology, and mental health , among others.

At the conclusion of each Research Colloquium, a booklet is edited and published on our website. We invite you to review the works of the previous editions, as well as the presentations of this III Research Colloquium.
