Angélica Laurent addresses the issue of obstetric violence in our country

She emphasized the importance of women's dignity, privacy, and confidentiality.

 

On March 8, we had the pleasure of having a presentation by Dr. Angélica Laurent, professor and head of the Evangelization Area of ​​the School of Law of our university, who focused on obstetric violence in Mexico, in commemoration of the Day of the woman.

 

In this talk, she shared statistics, official norms, and laws where the classifications of violence against women can be found.

 

Dr. Laurent emphasizes the importance of a woman's dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times; she commented that obstetric violence is not only inflicted by gynecologists, but also by neonatologists, pediatricians, nursing staff and in general any health personnel.

 

We thank her for the presentation to raise awareness on this day.
