The IV Research Colloquium of the Faculty of Bioethics was held

The objective of this academic space is to show the research work of our students, professors and researchers.

 

On December 9, 2022, the IV Research Colloquium of the Faculty of Bioethics was held with the objective of showing the research work of our students, professors and researchers and being a space for dialogue to discuss and receive feedback.

 

This event began with an inaugural panel with doctors Aldebarán Toledo, from the Faculty of Psychology; Luis Medina Gual, from the Faculty of Education; Ricardo Rivas, from the Faculty of Humanities, Philosophy and Letters, and Carlos Cuevas, from the Faculty of Actuarial Sciences, who discussed and shared their ideas on the theme "The question of method in addressing complex problems: an open question for the investigation".

 

Subsequently, the works of postgraduate students and some researchers were presented, highlighting cognitive enhancement through drugs, the principle of autonomy in personality disorders, the use of opioids in the management of chronic pain, the perspectives of palliative care in dementias, the current situation of pediatric palliative care, the social sciences in dialogue with faith, medical care during the COVID-19 pandemic, the principle of autonomy and its evolution into the notion of social justice, among others.

 

This Research Colloquium is held twice a year and, once concluded, a booklet of the same is published and published on the website of the Faculty of Bioethics.
