The Continuing Education coordinator joined the X State Meeting of CHB and CEI 2023, in which the importance of law in hospital bioethics committees and human rights in this field was discussed.
On July 20, 2023, Lorea Sagasti Pazos, coordinator of Continuing Education of our School of Bioethics, participated in the X State Meeting of Hospital Bioethics Committees and Research Ethics Committees with the paper entitled "Importance of the figure law in hospital bioethics committees”.
This event, organized by the Bioethics Commission of the State of Mexico (COBIEM) and the National Bioethics Commission (CONBIOÉTICA), is a space for reflection, deliberation and education where conflicts of values and bioethical principles that they could arise during the medical care process or in the teaching that is given in the health area.
Through this meeting, the issue of the importance of law in hospital bioethics committees and human rights in bioethics was addressed, as well as its characteristics so that they can be interpreted and applied in the recommendations of the committees, in addition to the relationship between bioethics and law in general.
