Anáhuac University inaugurates a new cycle with unity, leadership, and academic commitment

Opening Ceremony of the 2025-2026 Academic Year

The ceremony, presided over by Rector Dr. Cipriano Sánchez García, LC, brought together authorities, academic faculty, and students, as well as the participation of Monsignor Joseph Spiteri and the presentation of the new members of the rectoral committee.

On August 19, 2025, Anáhuac University Mexico North Campus celebrated with great solemnity the Opening Ceremony of the 2025-2026 Academic Year. The event brought together the main institutional authorities, the academic faculty, and students from all schools, marking the official start of a new semester of training, research, and university life.

The event was presided over by Dr. Cipriano Sánchez García, LC, Rector of Anáhuac University Mexico, who delivered a profound and motivating message to the university community. In his remarks, he highlighted the institution's commitment to developing positive-action leaders, prepared to respond with excellence and an ethical sense to society's challenges. He also invited students to embrace this academic year with enthusiasm, discipline, and openness to knowledge, reminding them that the university is a privileged space for personal growth in all dimensions.

The event included the inaugural lecture by Monsignor Joseph Spiteri, Apostolic Nuncio to Mexico. He reflected on the transformative role of higher education in building a more supportive and humanistic society, words that served as an inspiring framework for the start of the semester.

The School of Bioethics also kicked off its academic cycle with the participation of its director, Dr. José Alberto Castilla Barajas, accompanied by the faculty members. With great enthusiasm, the school celebrated the start of the 16th Generation of the Doctorate in Applied Bioethics, a program that, over nearly two decades, has consolidated Anáhuac as an international benchmark in the training of researchers and professionals capable of providing ethical solutions to the challenges of medicine, biotechnology, and public policy.

The ceremony, attended by professors from all faculties, symbolizes the unity of the university community and Anáhuac Pride. With this launch, the University reaffirms its mission to be a benchmark in excellence in education and humanistic leadership, actively contributing to building a more just, supportive society committed to the common good.
