The PhD student in Bioethics won second place with a project that proposes ethical solutions to mitigate algorithmic bias in artificial intelligence.
On April 30, 2025, the presentation and evaluation of the final works of the XV Anáhuac México Research Poster Competition, organized by the Research Directorate of Anáhuac Mexico University, took place.
In this edition, Dr. Pablo de Robina Duhart, a PhD student in Bioethics, won second place with his poster entitled “Mitigation of algorithmic bias in AI: proposals from a bioethical perspective”, a work that presents a novel and current approach on how to reduce the prejudices that can arise when using artificial intelligence (AI), addressing the problem from a solid bioethical perspective.
In this proposal, Dr. de Robina explained how algorithms can generate forms of discrimination, which are not always obvious to users, and proposed concrete ethical solutions to prevent these situations. The competition jury recognized the relevance of the topic, as well as the clarity and depth with which it was addressed.
The School of Bioethics' academic community proudly congratulates Dr. Pablo de Robina Duhart on this important recognition. His achievement is a testament to the positive impact the program's students are generating in the scientific and academic fields.
