Our online Master's in Bioethics coordinator presented the topic “Conscientious objection in Mexico: Scope and limitations in bioethics”.

 

On November 8, at the "2nd World Congress on Primary Healthcare and Medicare Summit" in Paris, France, Martha Patricia Hernández Valdez, researcher and coordinator of the Master's in Bioethics Online in Spanish of our School of Bioethics, presented her work "Conscientious objection in Mexico: Scope and limitations in bioethics.", addressing the main issue of conscientious objection among doctors in our country.

 

The issue of the importance of doctor-patient communication was addressed, and how essential it is to educate the population in these areas that can often be unknown.

 

Throughout his presentation, she insisted that one of the keys to good conscientious objection is to use an interdisciplinary methodology, in order to always reach the best decision-making.
