School of Bioethics participates in webinar of the Latin American Association of Palliative Care

Doctors Elvira Llaca, Luz Adriana Templos and Genoveva Vázquez addressed the importance of bioethics and human rights in palliative care through the topic "Bioethics applied to health care."

 

On July 11, 2023, Dr. Elvira Llaca, coordinator of the doctorate, as well as Drs. Luz Adriana Templos and Genoveva Vázquez, graduates of the online Master's in Bioethics, participated in the first webinar of the Latin American Association of Palliative Care (ALCP) on "Bioethics applied to health care".

 

The objective of the event was to know and analyze fundamental aspects of the principles and models of care in bioethics, as well as human rights applied in health care with a palliative care approach.

 

In this space, Dr. Elvira Llaca spoke about the fundamentals of bioethics and its history, remarking that training in bioethics is very important for the Association. For her part, Dr. Luz Adriana Templos returned to the topic of bioethical foundations and principles applied in palliative care in the search for orthothanasia, while Dr. Genoveva Vázquez spoke about human rights and palliative care.
