The Advisory Council of the Anáhuac Center for Strategic Development in Bioethics meets

The CADEBI Advisory Council meets

22 specialists in the field of Bioethics in Argentina, Chile, Cuba, Spain, Italy, Puerto Rico and Mexico reviewed the core projects that are being developed or participated by CADEBI.

 

On April 9, 2024, the Advisory Council of the Anahuac Center for Strategic Development in Bioethics (CADEBI), consisting of 22 specialists in the field of bioethics from seven countries: Argentina, Chile, Cuba, Spain, Italy, Puerto Rico, and Mexico, convened.

 

During this session, the following core projects being developed or in which CADEBI participates were reviewed:

  • 12th International Congress of Ethics Education by the International Association for Education in Ethics (IAEE). The invitation to council members to participate in this congress was reiterated, emphasizing its opportunity to promote international and interinstitutional engagement and cooperation. Currently, there are registrations for 24 keynote speeches and 50 oral presentations, with 66% of them being from foreign academics and students from 20 countries.

  • CADEBI Newsletter. The monthly newsletter was introduced as a platform for disseminating and promoting the activities of the Center, including those of council members and their institutions. The newsletter currently has 17,000 subscribers.

  • Progress of the Observatory of the Ibero-American Bioethics Network (ORIBI) and the Atlas of the Ibero-American Bioethics Network was presented, aiming to promote linkage and interinstitutional dialogue in the region.

 

To conclude the session, council members shared their opinions and recommendations on each of the topics, as well as establishing points of agreement.
