We interview Dr. María Golebiowska, former student of the Master Online in Global Bioethics

Dr. Golebiowska tells us about her current residency in neurosurgery and its application in bioethics in her daily life.

 

Dr. María Inés Girault, coordinator of the Online Master in Global Bioethics, shares with us the recent interview she had with Dra. María Golebiowska (Master in Global Bioethics, gen. 2021). Some of the questions are listed below:

 

1. What are you doing now, how do you apply Bioethics in your daily work?

I am currently a PhD student in Neurosurgery in Seoul National University in Seoul, South Korea. Since I am a full-time student, I am incorporating ethical research aspects of bioethics in my daily work.

 

2. What aspect of Bioethics is most important to you?

The most important aspect of bioethics is in my opinion interdisciplinarity of the discipline and the importance of individuals of various fields, not only medical but also humanistics, working together towards the common goal.

 

3. What was your main motivation to complete the Master in Global Bioethics?

The main motivation for me to complete the Master in Global Bioethics was to work in the bioethical organization or NGO in the future, as well as to work in the bioethical medical education sector.
