 Reproductive technology
reached a new record in 2017 with the birth of a female infant who developed within the womb of a
deceased donor. No unusual complications were recorded in the procedure or in relation to the
mother's health. Three years earlier, Swedish clinical trials report the birth of two male infants
from wombs removed from living donors, linked to mothers. Science had managed to cure absolute
uterine factor infertility (aufi) in women with this condition.
