33 Anáhuac students participated in the Junior Panamerican Games in Asunción, winning 6 medals

The Anáhuac University Network celebrates the outstanding participation of its students in the Junior Panamerican Games in Asunción, where 33 athletes proudly represented Mexico and their universities in various sports disciplines. 

Our Anáhuac Lions competed in demanding sports such as karate, rugby, table tennis, swimming, basketball, judo, and rowing, among others , demonstrating discipline, leadership, and passion in each competition. 

Outstanding results and medals obtained 

The efforts of our students were reflected in a total of 6 medals : 1 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze , won in different disciplines: 

  • María José Hernández Verdín: silver medal in weightlifting, 58 kg division.
  • Paulina Alanís: bronze medal in the 10 km open water swimming event.
  • Dorian Trejo: silver medal in Greco-Roman wrestling, 97 kg category.
  • Karla Ximena Serrano Olivares: gold medal in sports walking.
  • Hayato Yoshii Mizukami: bronze medal in karate.
  • David Mesulam Medina Alfaro: silver medal in swimming.
