Anáhuac Talent Present at the 2025 Venice Architecture Biennale

Intelligens Natural Artificial Collective

The Anáhuac University Network proudly celebrates the outstanding participation of Anáhuac University Puebla in the 19th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia 2025, one of the most important gatherings of architectural thought worldwide.

Students from the Anáhuac University Puebla School of Architecture and Design were selected to represent the institution with a project that fuses tradition, technology, and identity, all framed under this edition's motto: "Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective."

Through an internal competition, more than 50 students from different undergraduate programs formed 17 teams that, in just one week, developed proposals for ephemeral or parametric pavilions capable of engaging with contemporary challenges. The winning team—composed of fourth-semester Architecture students Sofía Fernández, Carlos Cacho, Irune Rugarcía, and Naiara Alcalá—was chosen by a high-level international jury comprised of renowned architects Julio Gaeta, Luby Springall, and Daniel Bonilla.

The selected proposal is an immersive experience inspired by Mexican looms, integrating materials and sounds that evoke collective memory, strengthening the sensorial interaction with visitors. This design not only celebrates Mexico's cultural richness but also proposes an ethical, critical, and deeply human architecture, capable of evolving without losing its roots.

From the Anáhuac University Network, we recognize this achievement as a testament to our university community's commitment to comprehensive education, centered on the individual, the environment, and social transformation. Participation in the Venice Biennale confirms that our students are not only prepared to excel on international stages, but also to lead with vision, creativity, and responsibility.

This academic and cultural milestone reaffirms the purpose we share as a network: to develop positive action leaders capable of imagining and building a more just, beautiful, and conscious world.
