Anahuac Mexico University celebrates its 60th anniversary with the Rector's Report, highlighting achievements in the face of socioeconomic challenges and the need to adapt to society and the digital revolution.

On February 7, 2024, at 7:00 p.m., the Centro Cultural Mexiquense Anáhuac witnessed the presentation of the Rector's Report, marking the beginning of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Institution. The Anahuac Community gathered to welcome distinguished guests, rectors of other universities, student representatives, municipal authorities and diplomats.

In his speech, Dr. Cipriano Sánchez García, L.C., Rector of Anahuac Mexico University, highlighted the metaphor of the road as a historical reflection of humanity on life, emphasizing the importance of looking to the past, the present and the future. In the face of socioeconomic challenges and paradigmatic changes, he recalled that the Institution has maintained its commitment to quality university education, adapting to a pluralistic society and the digital revolution.

He also emphasized the need for sustained economic growth, the transition to a knowledge-based economy and the importance of talent development. The main challenge is to provide quality education without falling into educational pragmatism, prioritizing the demand for academic training, values and effective connection to the labor market.

The message concluded with a tribute to the past rectors, thanking them for their contribution to the development of Anahuac Mexico University. As a matter of protocol, our Rector presented the report to the Rector's Committee, followed by unveiling a commemorative plaque and a historical video of the University's activities.

The event culminated with a special surprise: an emotional choir and dance ensemble prepared by the School of Arts. The participants shared moments of conviviality in the hall of the Cultural Center, toasting the beginning of this important celebration that reflects the evolution and achievements of Anahuac Mexico University over six decades.
