Anahuac Leadership in Academic Excellence
The athletes who reached the podium qualified for the 2027 Pan American Games in Lima, a key step on the road to Los Angeles 2028.
Athletes from Anáhuac Mexico University performed outstandingly at the Junior Pan American Games, held from August 9 to 23, 2025, in Asunción, Paraguay, an event that marked the official start of the Olympic cycle leading up to Los Angeles 2028.
The students who represented Mexico on this international stage are:
• David Mesulam Medina Alfaro (Communication), Swimming
• Frida Rosario Maya Weinmann (Psychology), Judo
• Joanna Betzabé Ibarra Martínez (International Business), Figure Skating
• Karla Ximena Serrano Olivares (Sports and Wellness), Race Walking
• Luisa Wilson San Román (Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation), Rugby
• María Belén Santolaya y Rivera (Industrial Engineering), Swimming
• Paulo Falcón Izquierdo (International Business), Rugby
• Ximena Castellanos Santibáñez (Law), Rowing
It is important to mention that the athletes who reached the podium qualified for the 2027 Pan American Games in Lima, a key step on the road to Los Angeles 2028.
This outstanding participation was made possible thanks to the joint efforts of the Mexican Olympic Committee (COM), the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sport (CONADE) and Anáhuac Mexico University.
Without a doubt, these achievements reflect the Anáhuac Community's commitment to sporting and academic excellence, while consolidating our institution as a point of reference in the promotion of university sports in Mexico.
