 humanism Liderazgo Anáhuac en Humanismo

With the participation of María Eugenia Cárdenas, together with the Women's Development, Justice and Peace Network, as well as academics and allies, policies were proposed to promote women’s genuine development and leadership from a comprehensive perspectiver.

Thirty years after the historic Beijing Conference, we are at a turning point. The UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) in 2025 offers us the opportunity to look back, recognize the progress made, and, above all, plan for the future. It is not just a question of evaluating what has been achieved but of opening up possibilities for a more just world where women are active protagonists of social change.

The director of the Anáhuac Women's Institute, María Eugenia Cárdenas Cisneros, took part in the most important conference of the year on the subject of women in New York, held from March 10 to 15, 2025. Together with the Women's Network for Development, Justice and Peace, as well as other academics and allies, they sought to engage in dialogue and propose policies to promote women's genuine development and leadership from a comprehensive perspective.

History has shown that when women participate, change is real and lasting. In the family, education, politics and society, they have been a source of strength in times of crisis and reconstruction. They are not only pillars of their communities but also architects of peace, leaders of dialogue, and guardians of human dignity. Three decades later, the gaps remain. Violence, economic inequality and exclusion continue to shape the lives of many women.

CSW69 is more than a space for reflection; it is an invitation to action, a reminder that we are beneficiaries of policies and agents of change.

Human development is a journey that cannot be taken with only half of humanity. As in the Gospel parable of the talents, we have been entrusted with a part of the mission. The challenge is to use our voices, our gifts and our leadership to create new opportunities for all women. At Beijing+30, let us look up and lead the way. Peace, justice and sustainable development will only be possible if we are all part of the conversation and the solution.
