A total of 390 participants joined forces to build two classrooms in Hidalgo through a charity race organized by students from the Anáhuac.

On May 18, 2025, in an atmosphere of enthusiasm, community spirit and social commitment, the third edition of Kilómetros Concretos (Concrete Kilometers) was held at the Anáhuac Mexico University North Campus. This race for a cause was organized by students from the School of Architecture in collaboration with well-known companies from the construction, architecture and design sectors.

The event aimed to promote family togetherness, encourage networking among future architects and leaders in the field and contribute to social transformation in communities that need it most. This year, 390 runners participated in the 2.5 km walk and 5 km race. The total amount raised will go toward the construction of two classrooms: one at the Juan Escutia Elementary School and another at the Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Preschool, both located in Santiago Tulantepec, Hidalgo, in partnership with the organization Construyendo Comunidades Integrales, A.C.

The event was attended by 50 volunteers and supported by companies such as Liz & Co, JLL, MillerKnoll, Serrano Plus, GIA, and Subaru, as well as Liquid IV, Susalia, and Under Armour, who were present throughout the day. We would also like to thank the municipality of Huixquilucan for facilitating the race route.

This initiative strengthens the relationship between students at the School of Architecture and professionals in the field while encouraging family life and involvement in socially impactful activities. The classrooms were built by student volunteers at the end of May as part of the ASUA Construye project.

Kilómetros Concretos is a multidisciplinary effort toward building a more caring society where young people become the protagonists of the greater good through their professions.
